Are You Paying for Training You’re Not Getting? . . . read my new article in Channel Pro Magazine

"Every company pays for training. You can either pay for it up front or you pay for it through poor results at many times the cost of doing it right. People don’t think about it this way, but maybe they should."

Last week I wrote on this blog that my article “Four Ways You’re Paying for Training . . . Whether You Know It or Not” had been published in Talent Management Magazine. Apparently my message struck a chord with other businessmen and businesswomen, because now a second magazine, Channel Pro, has chosen my article for publication. If you missed it last week, you can read it there online now.Why You Could Be Paying for Training without Knowing ItCheck out the article for the full story. But before you do, you might want to ask yourself these questions . . .

  • Aren’t you paying for training, one way or another? Every company does. You can either pay for it up front or you pay for it through poor results at many times the cost of doing it right.
  • Aren’t your company results directly affected by the quality of the training your company provides? Of course they are. And investing in training up front is going to provide you a 10x or greater return on your dollar.
  • Isn’t training just about the safest investment you can make? Results are predictable and bankable. If you spend money in advertising and hope for good results, it might or might not be effective in bringing customers to your business. Consider the fact that training is about improving results with the customers you already have coming to your business.
